  1. Arrival in Ljubljana

    • If arriving by plane, you will land at the Brnik Airport, which is approximately 30 minutes drive from the city centre where Grand Hotel Union is located. In the 'Arrivals' hall there is an ATM machine where you can obtain Slovenian Tolars (1 EUR = app. 240 SIT) to pay for the fare. I managed to obtain a special Pro-Enbis fare with Markun Borut & Co. Taxi Company (SIT 2,000 per person which is app. EUR 9.00). Whether there will be a Pro-ENBIS meeting point in the arrivals area or just a driver holding s sign, I do not know yet …J
    • If arriving by train, you'll be in the walking distance of the hotel (just walk down the Miklošičeva street directly from the train station, the hotel is at the end of the street to your right).

  2. Accommodation

Grand Hotel Union: Price list: already circulated to Pro-ENBIS group; note that since we are guests of the University of Ljubljana prices are substantially lower. I'll make all the necessary reservations & take care of confirmations so each participant should provide me with:

    • date & time of arrival/departure
    • section of the hotel (Executive, Business)
    • type of room (single, double - single occupancy, double)
    • name of accompanying person (if applicable)

Deadline: Friday, March 12th. After this date the participants are on their own as far as the hotel reservations are concerned. Please note that rooms should be emptied by noon on the day of departure. As for the check-in time (from 14.00 onwards on the day of arrival) this is negotiable therefore I need to know the time of arrival for each participant.
